Urine Drug Testing
Urine drug testing is the most commonly used method among companies wishing to screen potential employees or test their present employees. Because urine drug testing kits are the most inexpensive, as opposed to saliva and hair drug testing kits, they are the obvious choice. They can also be performed right there on the premise of the company and many will return results in less than 24 hours, depending on the kit.
If you are to take urine drug testing and you are not sure if you will pass or not, you might try calling is sick that day to delay the test as long as possible. If you know abou the test ahead of time, stop taking the drugs for at least a week before the urine drug screening. Most drugs, such as marijuana, may stay in your system between 2 and 4 days. Other factors will also affect how much of the drug shows up in your system. Ironically enough, chronic users are more likely to flush marijuana out of their system then those that only smoke it occasionally. To try to help cleanse your system, you can drink purified water. This may help get the toxins out of your system, but it is not 100% guaranteed. There are pills and liquids sold online that state they will cleanse your system, but those do not normally work.
If you have to take a test and you do not pass, the company will want to send you to a lab for additional testing. Testing in a lab has a higher degree of accuracy then the kits the companies buy. If you do not pass the lab test, the company will probably not hire you. You can try talking to someone in personnel about your problem – that may or may not help.
