If anything has totally changes the way medicine is distributed in the United States it would be the prevalence of online drugs in the marketplace. Online drugs offer a host of benefits to those who require their use. These benefits eliminate a number of reasons that people were not able to take advantage of the therapeutic value of many prescriptions in the past.
First off, keep in mind that online prescriptions have been demonized in the media mainly because the media knows horror stories sell magazines. Of course, there will be the occasional problem with people taking prescriptions they purchased online. This is a given. The problem is that the number of ‘horror stories’ is very minimal compared to those of people who have been helped by online drugs.
Online drugs many times are made available at discount prices. This allows people who may have financial difficulties the ability to purchase the medicine that they need. In some cases, it is very important that they get their medicine and online purchases empower them with the prescriptions availability.
Online drugs also provide the convenience of being mailed to one’s home. Granted, there will always be those fools out there who will refer to people who prefer their prescription mailed to them as “lazy” without ever taking into consideration that some people live in remote areas where it is not always possible to travel to a pharmacy. Furthermore, many elderly people are not able to leave their home at all and online drugs provide a valuable service to them that they would not be able to take advantage of otherwise.
As such, one can never discount the value and purpose of online drugs. There will always be pundits and critics, but one should never lose sight of the fact that these people are uniformed pundits and critics who have no informed basis to make their claims.
